Description: SS Troopers snow report w/ video of trip to Chinook Pass for Recon. Left Snoqualmie Pass and drove East thru Ellensburg over Manastash Ridge down to Yakima and up Hwy 410 to Chinook Pass. Climbed the ridge off of Yakima Peak then headed accross on the Pacific Crest Trail route up Naches Peak for one more ski to finish the day. On top Nice views of Mt. Rainier National Park could be obtained. Perfect side view of the Emmons Glacier and Inter Glacier as well as Little Tahoma. At this time of year a ski from Naches to below Cayuse Pass can be made w/ a car pick up below. On the way back to Snoqualmie Pass a stop at the local fruit stands is always a must for Rainier Cherries.
