Description: Finally, a windy day! Like in our first video, we attached the ContourHD to an SLE Kite, a kite designed for kitesurfing. Unlike our first video though, we could actually surf :-) This time we used a different kite, and we were at a different spot (our home-spot Oostvoorne). The footage is mostly me (Max) and a bit of my brother (Vincent). In the future we'll try again with more wind (so I can jump higher!) and maybe some different angles. Music: Funky Goldman by SOil & Pimp Sessions (they rock!) Edit: I just watched the video, and at some point we inserted a slow-mo jump scene. For some reason though, this part is real bad in the video, you can't even see me doing my trick! Too bad :-(

Keywords: bestangle, best angle, kite, netherlands, kitesurf, kiteboard, oostvoorne

Have you ever got the camera wet at all?

Well, a bit wet. It is mounted on the kite in such a way that, as the kite crashes on to the water, the camera will always stay above the surface. The kite is inflated, so it will never go underwater (you can see this quite clearly in the other kite-vid we posted, at the end the kite crashes). So yeah, a little splash water from one time I crashed the kite real hard, but that's about it. I'm guessing you want to take it on your lifeboat? It'll probably get more wet with you than with kiting.

Hi Vinnie, that is correct, I will be using it on the ILB, I am also (with luck) confirmed as a beta tester for the waterproof housing / case that is coming soon, as the ILB will really test the housing out.

Pending on the weather is if it goes out with me, as the winter is setting in here over the coming weeks and hope we have the housing then for the great ruff seas we have :P

Go to youtube to see our current vids and search SSILB ;)

Just watched some of your vids, pretty awesome! You could really make some nice angles with the ContourHD (although I don't really know how big and unpractical the housing is). But yeah, that's way more wet than kiting. Cool :-)

I am hopeing that the housing wont be too big and OTT, but rather a slim fit to the camera.

Cheers for looking at out current vids, as you can see we use the cameras for real shouts and hope it gives people a chance to see what we really do :)

Thus the contourHD is for my helmet and can give a viewpoint from a crew member.
