Some browsers and ISPs automatically remove ".EXE" from the name of files that you download from the Internet. This is a good thing, actually!
Without this extension, most Windows computers can't launch the application. This helps prevent Trojans and viruses from being secretly downloaded and installed without your knowledge.
This is a fairly easy problem to remedy. First, make sure your system is set to display the file extensions properly.
Windows XP:
1. Open a folder or open explorer
2. Select 'Folder Options' from the 'Tools' menu
3. Click the 'View' tab
4. Uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types'
5. Click 'OK'
Windows Vista:
1. Open a folder or open explorer
2. Click the 'Layout' button (to the left of the 'Views' button)
3. Click 'Folder Options'
4. Click the 'View' tab
5. Uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types'
6. Click 'OK'
Now you should be able to simply add ".EXE" (no quotes) to the name of the file you downloaded from VholdR.com. Then double-click or open the newly renamed file, just as you normally would!
