Description: Today was Michael's (age 5) first time at a Sprint (road course) track at
www.61kartway.com, Delmar Iowa. It was the nicest karting facility I've seen in my past 20years of karting. Michael has been racing ovals, thus a sprint track was a brand new experience today. We started out at 2minute laps and got down to consistant 74 second laps, but need to get to a 61 second lap to run with leaders that race here weekly. It will come, but just have to remember he's only 5 and is his first time in this type of kart and track. The coolest part is that I had to direct him off the track, otherwise he'd still be out there practicing as he loved it! Dad is quite proud of his performance today! The video is 3 laps around the circuit.
